Episode IV: A New Hope
Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back
Episode VI: Return of the Jedi
Episode VII: The Fall of the Rebellion
...A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away,
Jedi, now Master, Luke has defeated evil Emperor Sidious and Darth Vader, and with the help of his friends, brought the end of the second Death Star. The galaxy has fallen into shambles and has virtually little-or-no form of government. The senate building on Coruscant has since been deserted since the death of the Emperor as no one wanted to be accused of assisting the Emperor in bringing about the end of all things. But there is still hope. Luke speeds around the galaxy, attempting to reunite solar systems, but he finds this is hardly enough for him alone. He, alone, must rebuild the Jedi Order, a feat he cannot accomplish in one lifetime, in order to reunite the galaxy and bring back the long-lost sense of peace. Worlds have no platform to speak to each other. Anarchy has begun. And in a small, distant corner of the galaxy, the Empire is rebuilding, guided by the leadership of one man... (Slayer)

You're not allowed a torch. You have your fork. You were issued only one or the other. =P

hm, Flag day was june 14th....midsummer was the 21st, nothing special happens that day (I think flag day some government things were closed--they take every opportunity to take time off). Hear the canadian postal strike is still going on, though something might be happening soon with that.
otherwise...pretty quiet here.
edit oooops forgot fathers day over this past weekend (not having one its easier for me to forget)

Fathers and mothers day, i've never really seen the point in those, in general, i hate when your "forced" to show affection, or whatever you will call it, isn't spontantiny better overall? my last GF wanted us to celebrate valentines (which no danish person ever should) but i had taken her out on several occasions that did not involve holidays, or the likes, and she call my un-romantic (if that's a word).
Midsummer probably fits the best for "Sankt hans" here.

yeah midsummer is more of a european celebration --we dont celebrate it here, its just noted on the calendar 'hey, summer starts today at x:xxpm'...and we go on with life. When I was in sweden they had festivals and made flower hats and drank until they couldnt drink any more---and then did it again the next day.
fathers and mothers day were not made for 'affection' but rather a day to honor your parents--sometimes being a mom or dad is a very thank-less job. (I said NO! and I mean it!)....valentines day...well, was over commercialized (as is xmas)....just like birthdays---
hey snoggy--didnt you just have a bday????

being a son or daughter is just as thankless as being a dad or mom, so is it being the garbageman and so on, but no one celebrates those >.<

actually I completely understand (there is no wife or husband day for those of us who decided to not increase the already too large population of this world)....but I was just explaining the what--not starting a debate. (actually in japan they have a boys day and a girls day---as well as grandparents day, marine day, green day....)....
pwnd, you should have that checked out for sure.
(hey, I figured out the cause of the outage the other day--it was due to the closing of the old ot thread!--the forum just couldnt handle having to start all over again )
